So whilst they were all over each other, etc, etc, we could see it all about to go pear shaped, it all just became very predictable and with no humour to alleviate the same, same, I got bored. I wasn’t surprised by this but one could hope. Logan is as sexy as hell — with long or short hair, without or with a scar. He grew to care for her and had a hard time reconciling his feelings with the mission he was completing for his people.

One reviewer says that it’s never explained why Dylan is so reluctant at wanting to make Phoebe his mate, if you read the whole book it is explained several times. This installment actually ended up being better than this reader expected at the outset and made me wish for more installments.

Dylan races to her, full of despair, knowing he can dari try to give her some comfort in her last, painful hours, before death finally takes her. This brings me to my biggest problem with the book. She picked a goal in her teen years and has spent every moment since working with single-minded purpose toward that goal.
Dylan, king of the Dragons from the Dragonstar clan receives bad news, after another fruitless night searching for his mate. She is frustrated and angry when she stumbles upon Logan on the outskirts of her land. They become ill, then paralyzed and finally bleed out.

This book did start out well, but I agree with the other reviewer in emners the sex scenes got quite repetitive At some moment it even seemed that the book was only about adasm and not searching for a cure for the disease and saving the dragons… Huge disappointment!

This is a wildly sexy and fast paced book. The rest of the story made the book worth reading, for me. Like all dragons, Dylan, who has a dark, rampant sexual appetite, can only procreate with his destined mate-for whom he’s searched for the last five hundred years.
He is beginning to see this as just one more way he will fail his people. Desperate to save his people, Dylan decides to seek out human aid. I didn’t expect much from this book because it was about two minor characters that we knew nothing about and had no backstory on. She is struck by an instant attraction, and as they continue to meet she finds herself confiding in him and relying on his help as an outsider.
All in all, an adequate ending to a series that has a lot of potential but never really lives up to it. Needless to say, Dylan is hesitant to tell Phoebe about him and his inner beast.
