We receive Christ Jesus by exercising the gift of faith that He gives us. It is by free grace [God's unmerited favor] that you are saved through [your] faith Ephesians 2: When we receive Christ Jesus, we experience a new birth and become newborn children of God. Note that salvation is not an intellectual agreement with the Word of God.
Rather, salvation requires a commitment, a dedication, a confession, and the receiving of Christ into our heart. An emotional experience of salvation is great, but is Jesus truly in charge?
